Glow Iron is a magical material, which a Weaponsmith or Outfitter can craft into any implement or garment they would otherwise be able to craft. It can even be ground into a powder or a dye, allowing it to be used in cloth, wood, or other materials. When the crafted object is held or worn, the holder can concentrate his or her willpower into the object. Depending on how much willpower the holder focuses into the object, the light given off could range from a lit match to illuminating nearly an entire room.

- Botanists are capable of crafting with a similar effect, through Glow Seeds.
- The Glow Iron (material) treasure is an original creation by one of Hyrule Castle's members. Its concept is credited to Tsubori.
