A Mask Collector is an individual who is utterly obsessed with collecting masks, to the point he sacrifices the ability to easily collect other treasures.

Any character who gains this trait can gain any number of Transformation Masks at a cost of 50 rupees each, instead of 100. Upon gaining this trait, he can gain two such Transformation Masks for free. Unlike other characters, he can usually gain a Transformation Mask belonging to a race the player could not normally access-- barring, which still require licenses as normal. However, no other characters can use such a mask, and such a mask cannot be the one he gains simultaneously with the Mask Collector trait itself.

Any character who gains this trait must also adhere to three limitations:

• He can never easily obtain a treasure which isn't a Transformation Mask or other mask (to include the Bunny Hood and Hero's Charm), isn't the Song of Healing, and isn't a racial perk specific to the race of a Transformation Mask he holds. From now on, any such treasure costs an extra 10 rupees.
• He cannot gain the Crafting, Dark Affinity, or Specialty treasures. This trait counts as though it was his Specialty. If he has any such treasures, he forgets how to use them, instead lost to the obsession of collecting masks.
• He may gain a Profession, but it must be directly related to masks in some fundamental way, such as 'Mask Salesman' or 'Mask Appraiser.'

Trivia

The Mask Collector treasure is an original creation by one of Hyrule Castle's members. Its concept is credited to SenpaiPancake. It seems to be based on the Mask Salesman who initially appeared in Ocarina of Time.
