A Mask of Scents usually bears the grotesque appearance of a swine, moblin, or canine. Wearing the mask greatly amplifies the wearer's sense of smell, enabling him to outdo even trained bloodhounds. He can even minutely detect emotions, the presence of magic, and the presence of violence, with varying accuracy. The wearer's remaining senses are dulled to approximately half their normal sensitivity.
Trivia
- Scent is a variant of this treasure which grants its wearer similar powers of smell, in the form of a trait which is always active. Scent is easier to obtain than the mask if the user is a Moblin, Lizalfos, or Lynel.
- An Outfitter can treat a Mask of Scents as a material for the purpose of combining its effects with other materials or treasures into one item of the Headgear field. When determining how many materials the Outfitter can craft into one item, treat this item as though it had a set cost of 20 rupees.
- The Megamouth Mask and Hawkeye are other masks which enhance the wearer's mundane senses and abilities.
