In Northern Hyrule, south of Darunia lies the quaint village of Mido. Much like Darunia, Mido is a town separated from the rest of Hyrule, and up until recently has had to rely much on its own merits to survive. The Hylians here have over time become very skilled at living off the land, now knowing how to grow crops and use their environment for their benefit. Being so close to the Eastern Sea, Mido is home to many fisherman, who make regular trips to and from the Eastern Sea to gather food for their families.

Mido’s buildings are made of wood, transported from the Lost Woods, and some are even carved of the stone surrounding their village. Many wild animals also inhabit the streets of Mido, which animals have become very accustomed to Hylians and no longer run in fear.

Recently constructed was the Port of Mido, which now functions as the primary gateway to the Eastern Sea. Coinciding the construction of Impa, this port was made to allow transport by water from Hyrule Field to Mido. This port now sees a great amount of traffic, some of this being weekly shipments from Lon Lon Ranch bringing food to Mido and Darunia. Consequently, Mido has quickly grown from a small outpost to a sizable city, home to not only Hylians, but more exotic Rito, Zora, or even the rare Tokay.
