Place:Mother and Child Isles

Somewhere in the Great Sea, far to the southeast of Hyrule itself, lays a fabled pair of isle and island together known as Mother and Child Isles. To most visitors, these islands appear only as a small forested beach isle and an almost featureless if massive mountain. Only Great Fairies or those accompanied by tiny fairies realize the true nature of this fabled place. Although there are perhaps not even a hundred inhabitants, it is nonetheless the single largest gathering of Fairies and Great Fairies in the known world. At the center of them all is a particularly old Great Fairy, perhaps the most ancient of them all. This kind matron is known as the Queen of Fairies. Although she is hidden and secret to nearly all, many Fairies--and a few of other races--are known to make pilgrimages to her fabled isles. Some Fairies do this as a sign of homage to who they believe to be the progenitor of their race. Others seek her the in the hopes of gaining wisdom beyond mortal years, or gaining a miraculous cure for diseases and curses, among other reasons.
