Summon Chilfos, also known as Summon Freezard, is a summoning spell, which can be cast by concentrating for about one second. Upon casting, the caster chooses for either a Chilfos or Freezard to appear within arm's reach of the caster, who will fulfill all of the user's commands to the best of its ability.

The Chilfos is a human-shaped being of magical, solid ice, albeit devoid of a face. It can form sharp icy spears at the ends of its limbs, and primarily uses these weapons as melee weapons and thrown javelins to defend its master. A typical summoned Chilfos is slightly taller than its creator.

The Freezard is a being of magical, solid ice shaped like a bust--devoid of any limbs, but possessing a monstrous face. It primarily attacks by blowing a powerful gust of freezing wind, similar to Ice Breath or Blizzard. The Freezard is able to slide around silently on flat surfaces, especially frozen reservoirs, or surfaces covered with now. However, it cannot move on its own when summoned on rough terrain, or slopes. A Freezard's strength is tied to its size, as the caster can create one up to thrice her height--or as small as her head.

In either case, the summoned monster is immune to any cold-based damage, but is extremely vulnerably to any heat-based damage. Any fire-based spell will likely kill it in a single hit.

The Chilfos or Freezard will remain until it dies, or the caster dismisses it, at which point it will immediately vanish. Once the monster vanishes for any reason other than dismissal, the caster cannot summon another one to replace its specific slot for at least 1 minute. This does not prevent the caster from summoning more Chilfos or Freezards if he would otherwise be able, nor does it prevent him in any way from summoning other creatures.

You always have at least one summon level. The number of summon levels you have represents how many summoned creatures you can simultaneously maintain. A summoned Chilfos or Freezard occupies one summon level, until it dies or is dismissed. In this way, the Chilfos or Freezard "fills" one of your summon levels. While your summon levels are completely filled in this way, you cannot summon any more creatures. You can gain more summon levels through the Summon Power treasure.
