Cobra Boots appear as a normal pair of boots, but are frequently made of snake skin or otherwise stylized after serpents. They have a unique function, which can be activated at the user's will. When activated, the boots will abruptly and magically extend numerous fang-like spikes straight down out of the boots, each of which is roughly two inches in length and as strong as steel. Furthermore, these "fangs" are dripping with venom which causes wounds they inflict to be particularly painful, and are known to cause an intense stinging or burning sensation. After several minutes of exposure to this venom, most Hylian-like creatures will lose consciousness, but not die. Several solid penetrations can cause death in that same timeframe, however. Notably, this venom does not affect undead beings.
Aside from being used for attack, the fangs are also sturdy enough to support the user's weight. They can be used in a manner similar to cleats, useful for gripping into various types of terrain.
