Dark Worlder is a trait inherent to every being which was born in the Dark World. As such, every Hinox must have this trait as an innate racial perk, even if it is undesired.
Several other races are known to exist naturally in the Dark World, but unlike Hinox, are not exclusive to it. These include Moblin, Stalfos, Darknut, Lynel, Wizzrobe, and Poe. A member of any of these races may gain Dark Worlder upon character creation, either as a normal treasure or as a racial perk using Bonus Treasure. Other races cannot acquire this trait. In any case, the Dark Worlder trait can never be acquired after character creation.
Any Dark Worlder has an inherent weakness to Light magic, and will take roughly double the normal damage from attacks which employ that element. By contrast, a Dark Worlder is particularly resistant to Shadow magic, and will take roughly half the damage from such attacks.
Although a Dark Worlder is perfectly safe while traversing the Dark World or the Twilight Realm, he or she has difficulty maintaining his form while traversing the Light World of Hyrule. If left unprotected in the Light World, a Dark Worlder will almost immediately be reduced to a slimy blob that can barely move, reminiscent of a ChuChu or a Bot. He can still survive in this form, and will have no choice to do so until he either returns to his world, or gains the protection of a Moon Pearl. Indeed, any wise Dark Worlder would gain a Moon Pearl before leaving their realm.
