Bubble Shot is an offensive technique, and a exclusive racial perk for Deku Scrubs. As such, a Deku Scrub can choose to gain it as a perk upon character creation. Since this is an exclusive perk, other races normally cannot acquire it as a treasure.

By training himself or herself to do so, a Deku Scrub can blow up the mucus in their mouthes into a large bubble (not unlike that of bubblegum), which will form around the Deku's snout. This bubble can then be spat as a projectile. It's a somewhat sluggish and weak offensive attack, but it can be used to damage weak enemies akin to Keese, and distract more durable foes.

The bubble does have an alternative use, however. An object placed within the Deku's mouth can be formed of the middle of this bubble and shot along with the bubble, dropping when the bubble pops. In effect, this can be used to shoot dangerous items such as Deku Nuts or Ember Seeds from a long distance away.

Trivia

The Bubble Shot treasure canonically appears in the Zelda series, initially in Majora's Mask.
