In Southern Hyrule, close to Kokiri Forest, the village of Saria was founded shortly after Kasuto, making it the second Hylian village of Southern Hyrule. Saria once functioned as a hub of activity between Kakariko Village and the natives to Kokiri Forest. Travelers and merchants alike found common ground in Saria, and the town became known as a peaceful place, resting on one of the largest aquifers in Hyrule. Like the rest though, when the King of Evil extended his reign to the lands of Southern Hyrule, Saria found itself helpless in a torrent of darkness. Ravaged and all but burned to the ground, little remains of Saria besides ashes.
