In Northern Hyrule, nestled at the foot of the mountains, Nabooru has been a rather peaceful village for hundreds of years. Settled by early Hylians who sought a quiet lifestyle out in the wilderness, this town and it’s residents have enjoyed the serene backdrop of the wooded foothills for decades. Here the air is fresh, smelling of pine; buildings are predominantly made of large logs, and streets of cobble stone. Many of the residents of Nabooru spend great amounts of time in the forests and mountains to the southwest of their homes. They have become good woodsmen and mountaineers, many of them living off of the hunt and provisions of the woods.

After Ganon's sacking of Goron City and the ensuing Goron exodus, a sizable group of Gorons made their homes in Nabooru. These Gorons live much more comfortably than those in the Goron Slums of Castle Town, even having their own homes and jobs to go along with it. Nowadays, it is a very common sight to see Hylian and Goron children playing together throughout the town and the surrounding forest. The sight often bellies the fact that the town rests not far from the perilous Death Mountain, where Ganon still supposedly resides. Indeed, with wooden walls and legions of veteran Goron fighters, Nabooru is one of the most defensible towns in all of Northern Hyrule.
