The Magical Cape is a powerful magic item able to turn the user completely invisible. This is a Major treasure. A character who has never gained a Major treasure may gain this treasure normally. Otherwise, the character must first acquire Major Gain specifically to gain this treasure.
While this cape is worn, the user can grab it by hand and pull it over their body, causing their entire body--and anything worn or wielded on their person--to become completely invisible for 1 full minute. While invisible, the user still casts a shadow in bright light, makes sound as normal, can be smelled as normal, and cannot create other illusions. This invisibility itself is an illusion effect, so the user can be seen normally by someone using a Lens of Truth.
The user can end the 1 minute duration prematurely by pulling the cape over their body again. For every 10 seconds spent invisible, the cape requires 1 minute to recharge. Thus if the full minute is spent invisible, the cape cannot be used again for 6 minutes.
Trivia
- The Stone Mask and Motionless Invisibility treasures allow complete invisibility without recharging, but only function for as long as the user remains motionless.
- The Magic Cape treasure canonically appears in the Zelda series, initially in A Link to the Past. More information about the canonical version of this treasure can likely be found on Zelda Wiki.
