A Moon Pearl appears as a glistening sphere that can fit in one's palm, and is usually colored blue, red, or violet. Whoever is in possession of a Moon Pearl is protected from some forms of evil magic. The pearl negates any spells or other effects which attempt to:
- Read the user's thoughts
- Control the user's mind or body
- Transform the user's body into a different form
The Moon Pearl's protection is absolute, to the point the user may not even realize he or she was threatened at all by one of these effects. Any of the user's own transformative treasures will still have effect on her own body, however.
This treasure is particularly valued by adventurers seeking to travel to the legendary Dark World or Twilight Realm, as it also protects the user's body from being transformed upon entering these bizarre realms.
Trivia
- This treasure is one of numerous magical trinkets which protect from a specific array of danger. Others include Bee Badge, Skull Mask, Serpent Suit, Ear of Truth, Fireshield Earrings, Zora Tunic, and Yeti Tunic.
- The Moon Pearl treasure canonically appears in the Zelda series, initially in A Link to the Past. More information about the canonical version of this treasure can likely be found on Zelda Wiki.
