At a glance, a Gust Jar appears as a simple blue-and white gallon pot with a handle on each side. Its true effect is activated by triggers hidden beneath each of the handles. Depending upon how a hidden switch on it is flipped, it will either constantly suck in the surrounding air with great force, or release individual, powerful bursts of air. The bursts are strong enough to knock down creatures smaller than Hylians, but will typically only cause Hylians or larger beings to stagger. When used properly, the Gust Jar can even suck a small or ligheweight object up into it, then fire it off with an air burst.
Trivia
- The Deku Leaf has a similar effect of creating powerful gusts. It can't be used to suck in air, but can be used as a parachute, unlike the Gust Jar.
- The Gust Jar treasure canonically appears in the Zelda series, initially in The Minish Cap. More information about the canonical version of this treasure can likely be found on Zelda Wiki.
