A Deku Leaf appears as a large, healthy green leaf which never decays. According to rumor, it sprouted from the Great Deku Tree itself. This leaf is a racial perk for Deku Scrubs, Skull Kids, and Koroks. As such, a member of any such race can choose to gain it as a perk upon character creation. If that idnividual chooses to gain this perk at some point after creation, the perk costs 15 rupees less than the listed price. Other races acquire this treasure normally.

When swung as a weapon, the Deku Leaf belts forth an oddly-powerful gust of wind which shoots forward along a long, straight trajectory. When held overhead, the leaf can function as a surprisingly potent parachute, given its size. While most races can use the parachute effect, some beings, including most Gorons, are too heavy to make use of a Deku Leaf of any size. Deku Scrubs and Koroks with the Korok Copter technique can use a Deku Leaf to fly.

Trivia

• A Weaponsmith can treat a Deku Leaf as a material for the purpose of combining its effects with other materials or treasures into one weapon. For determining how many materials the Weaponsmith can craft into one item, treat this item as though it had a set cost of 20 rupees.
• The Gust Jar has a similar effect of creating powerful gusts. It can't be used as a parachute, but can be used to suck in air, unlike the Deku Leaf.
