Spicy Stockings or Scorching Socks are a strange pair of footwear which normally take the form of magical socks. Their effect can be toggled off and on at will, with a mere thought from the wearer.
While the socks are active, every step the user takes will light the ground beneath it aflame a split-second after the wearer's foot leaves the ground. For this reason, it is recommended the user wears protective boots over the socks. Similarly, the user will ignite any target he kicks, and his steps will still cause flames even if walking on walls or ceilings.
Trivia
- A sufficiently skilled Outfitter can craft a pair of Scorching Socks using 2 Fire Gems and 1 Nullrock.
- Shock Socks, Freezing Footwear, and Cobra Boots each have a similar effect of damaging what the user steps on.
- The Scorching Socks treasure is an original creation by one of Hyrule Castle's members. Its concept is credited to Guy. The better name is attributed to Squishy.
