Mind Sight is a useful spell which enables a target to see what the user sees.

To cast it, the caster must focus on an intelligent being within his line of sight, and focus for a moment. The target will have a crystal-clear mental image of whatever the caster sees. If the target resists the effects of Mind Sight, the spell's effect will end abruptly. The caster will be able to discern when his spell ends, but is able to cast it as often as he wants. He can only affect one individual being with this spell at a time. If the target wanders more than about 30 feet (or 10 meters) away from the caster, the effect ends.

Augments

The user can gain the Sight Mind or Lingering Sight augment simultaneously with the original treasure for an additional cost, or as a separate treasure at a later time.

A caster with the Sight Mind augment can reverse the normal effects of the spell. Instead of the caster giving the target his sight, the target unwittingly gives the caster her sight. That is, the caster gains a crystal-clear image of whatever the target sees. Unlike the normal version of the spell, the caster does not gain a purely mental image, but most close his eyes to see what the target sees. As such, he can only access one pair of eyes at a time. On a willing target, this spell is easy to maintain.

The target normally has no cue that her sight is being stolen. If the target possesses a Lens of Truth or Cross, however, she will be able to discern exactly what is happening to her. If the target suspects she is being spied upon, she can resist the Sight Mind spell. When a target successfully resists, the caster receives a brief period of mental damage--he gains a headache, becomes unable to use the spell, and his sight will be blurry--for as twice as long as his spell effect was active, but no less than a minute.

Like the normal version of the spell, Sight Mind will abruptly end if the target wanders more than 30 feet (or 10 meters) away from the caster.

A caster with the Lingering Sight has a larger radius over which either Mind Sight or Sight Mind can be maintained. Normally, the spell only functions within a range of 30 feet (or 10 meters). With this augment, it can function to a range of 300 feet (or 100 meters).

Trivia

The Mind Sight treasure is an original creation by one of Hyrule Castle's members. Its concept is credited to Magnere.
