Freezing Footwear take the form a strange pair of magical socks, usually of a blue hue of varying shade. Their effect can be toggled off and on at will, with a mere thought from the wearer.
While the socks are active, every step the user takes will freeze the ground beneath it a split-second after the wearer's foot leaves the ground. For this reason, it is recommended the user wears protective boots over the socks. Similarly, the user will freeze any target he kicks, and his steps will still cause icy trails even if walking on walls or ceilings.
Trivia
- A sufficiently skilled Outfitter can create Freezing Footwear using 2 Ice Gems and 1 Nullrock.
- Shock Socks, Spicy Stockings, and Cobra Boots each have a similar effect of damaging what the user steps on.
- The Freezing Footwear treasure is an original creation by one of Hyrule Castle's members. Its concept is credited to Guy.
