Goron Roll is an offensive technique, and a exclusive racial perk for Gorons. As such, a Goron can choose to gain it as a perk upon character creation. Since this is an exclusive perk, other races normally cannot acquire it as a treasure.

All Gorons are capable of tucking into a ball and rolling, but Gorons who've mastered this technique can perform a special technique while rolling. Such a Goron can accelerate faster and faster over a period of about five seconds, before their body magically sprouts six-inch-long spikes and they shoot forward at incredible speed, somewhere around 50 mph (or 80 km/h). These spikes also aid in traction on slippery surfaces, such as ice or those covered with a Slicker. However, steering becomes incredibly difficult, making anything but a straight trajectory nigh-impossible. This effect quickly drains the user of power, so it can only be maintained for a minute or two without breaking the effect. Crashing into an unbreakable object will also halt the user, often causing significant damage to his body in the process.

The Goron Roll treasure canonically appears in the Zelda series, initially in Majora's Mask.
