Despite being the most widely known connection between Subrosia and Hyrule, the caverns which lead between the two worlds are rarely explored. The twisting Subrosian Caverns which allow passage are difficult to navigate, as they require several days travel on foot, compasses and other magnetic instruments malfunction inside them, and numerous subterranean monsters are eager to devour any explorers daring enough to attempt to push through them.
The cavern system is home to both extremely cold and extremely hot temperatures, at opposites. It is virtually impossible to explore these caverns without a Subrosian's natural heat resistance, or heat protection as from a Goron Tunic. Simultaneously, Subrosians or other races with a weakness to cold require a Yeti Tunic or similar protection from extreme cold.
