The Spell Spell is a bizarre and powerful spell known to rapidly eat up magic power.
To cast this spell, the user merely clasps his hands together and utters a powerful phrase. Abruptly, all beings--alive or undead--within a 20 foot (or 6 meter) radius are struck with a terrible albeit temporary curse. They are turned into small, barely-mobile balls of slime reminiscent of Bots or ChuChus. Although they are still able to roll around, hop, breathe, and think, they are capable of little else. This enables the caster to either make a safe escape, or finish off her vulnerable foes. After approximately 1 minute, anyone afflicted by this spell will return to his or her normal form, unharmed. If the victim died while a slime, however, they will still be a corpse upon returning to their normal form. This spell does not seem to affect anyone with a Moon Pearl, nor certain extremely powerful monsters.
Due to the extreme rate at which this spell consumes magic, it can normally be used only once per quest or dungeon. With one level of Magic Power, however, it can be cast twice. With two levels of Magic Power, it can be cast thrice. Every time the user consumes a Green Potion, this spell can be cast one more time. Regardless of how many times this spell can be cast, at least 1 minute must pass before it can be repeated.
Trivia
The Spell Spell treasure canonically appears in the Zelda series, initially in Adventure of Link. More information about the canonical version of this treasure can likely be found on Zelda Wiki.
