Infernal Composition is an innate racial perk for characters of the Subrosian race. As such, all Subrosians must have this trait, even if it is undesired. A character of another race can only gain this trait though a curse.

Due to their unique origin and physiology, all Subrosians are completely impervious to damage from all forms of heat or fire, and generally find hotter temperatures to be more comfortable. Additionally, the surface of their skin (which is rarely seen) is extremely hot to the touch. A mere direct touch from them will give almost any surface-dweller mild to extreme burns, and may even set plant-like races or materials aflame.

By contrast, Subrosians are extremely weak to cold, capable of passing out if left in room temperatures without the protection of their thick robes, and almost any submersion in water that isn't boiling can be lethal to them. However, their weakness to water can be overcome with a Zora Tunic or similar treasure, while their weakness to cold can be averted with a Yeti Tunic or similar treasure.

Trivia

  • Counterparts to this racial perk include Plant Composition, Frigid Composition, Stone Skin, and to a lesser extent, Zora Weakness.
  • The Infernal Composition treasure does not appear verbatim within the official Zelda series. However, it can be interpreted to exist from context, initially so in Oracle of Seasons.
