Fields | Empower, Rito, Travel |
Cost | Low Cost C5: 30 rupees |
Roc's Feather is a utility item, and a racial perk for Rito. As such, a Rito can choose to gain it as a perk upon character creation. If a Rito chooses to gain this perk at some point after creation, the perk costs 15 rupees less than the listed cost.
One of these feathers appears as a somewhat large bird feather, usually white, blue, or brown. As long as the user holds it or concentrates on it, the user's weight will be proportionally reduced. This is primarily used as an empowering empowering effect, causes the user to become capable of jumping two to three times higher than it would otherwise be able. This effect does not stack with other effects which increase one's jumping ability. The feather can be used for other purposes that reduce weight, however, such as becoming buoyant.

The user can gain the Roc's Cape augment simultaneously with the original treasure, or separately at a later time. Once the augment is gained, the feather becomes a cape the user can wear.
While the user is leaping with the effect of Roc's Cape, they can abruptly summon more energy to jump again in mid-air, but only with strength equal to a normal jump (as opposed to the initial, enhanced jump). This second jump can also be used as a slow glide down to ground, though it is relatively difficult to change direction.
Trivia
- An Outfitter can treat a Roc's Feather as a material for the purpose of combining its effects with other materials or treasures into any item she can craft. When determining how many materials the Outfitter can craft into one item, treat this item as though it had a set cost of 20 rupees. For an additional 20 rupees, Roc's Cape can be used as a material instead.
- An identical effect can be acquired with the Jump spell and its augment, Glide.
- The Roc's Feather treasure canonically appears in the Zelda series, initially in Link's Awakening. More information about the canonical version of this treasure can likely be found on Zelda Wiki.
