Summon Keese is a simple summoning spell. This spell can be cast by concentrating for about one second. Upon casting, a Keese appears within arms reach of the caster, who will fulfill all of the user's commands to the best of its ability. The Keese will remain until it dies, or the caster dismisses it, at which point it will immediately vanish. Once a Keese vanishes for any reason other than dismissal, the caster cannot summon another one to replace its specific spot for at least 1 minute. This does not prevent the caster from summoning more Keese if he would otherwise be able, nor does it prevent him in any way from summoning creatures which are not Keese.

You always have at least one summon level. The number of summon levels you have represents how many summoned creatures you can simultaneously maintain. A summoned Keese occupies one summon level, until it dies or is dismissed. In this way, the Keese "fills" one of your summon levels. While your summon levels are completely filled in this way, you cannot summon any more creatures. You can gain more summon levels through the Summon Power treasure.

If the user has a Fire Enchantment, Ice Enchantment, Shock Enchantment, or Shadow Enchantment, the enchantment can be used to instead respectively summon a Fire Keese, Ice Keese, Thunder Keese, or Dark Keese.

This treasure is a racial perk for Wizzrobes. As such, a Wizzrobe can choose to gain it as a perk upon character creation. If a Wizzrobe chooses to gain this perk at some point after creation, the perk costs 15 rupees less than the listed cost.

The user can gain the Multiple Keese augment simultaneously with the original treasure for an additional cost, or as a separate treasure at a later time. This augment can be gained twice.

For each time this augment is gained, the creator can summon and simultaneously maintain an additional Keese, up to a maximum of three with only one summon level. That is, all three Keese still occupy only one summon level. By increasing one's summon levels, even more summoned keese can persist simultaneously.

Trivia

  • A Vampire can gain this spell for 10 rupees less than its normal cost, to a minimum cost of 10 rupees.
  • The Summon Keese treasure canonically appears in the Zelda series, initially in Majora's Mask. More information about the canonical version of this treasure can likely be found on Zelda Wiki.
